I hoped Ms. Moston would find excitement and danger in her journey and I was not disappointed. Throughout their mountain-top stay, Ms. Moston’s vivid descriptions, especially of an overcrowded bus that traveled up and down a narrow mountain road with wheels that sometimes left the road and spun in mid-air, left me breathless.
The book ended before I was ready. For weeks afterward, thanks to Ms. Moston’s deft writing, I drifted back to Guatemala, savoring the people, the land, and the Moston family’s adventures. It’s a book worthy of your time.

Thanks to your recommendations on this blog, I have been reading some authors who are new to me, and I love them! I just ordered “Love in Disguise” by Carol Cox; I just finished “Chasing Sunsets” By Eva Marie Everson, and LOVED that book, and will be reading more of hers; “A Vote of Confidence” and “Heart of Gold” by Robin Lee Hatcher. I just downloaded the kindle edition of “Unglued” by Lysa TerKeurst, and look forward to reading many more. I also look forward to meeting you in person at our DAR meeting in October!!!!!! Deb

Cynthia, just these few words about MM’s experience reminded me of a story from RDawson’s time in Guatemala. I think those Guatemal buses provide lots of terrifying stories!
